Southampton defender, Kyle Walker-Peters, has said that he has no doubts about the quality Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold possesses.
The Liverpool right back has come under fire this season for a series of under-par performances which have left some believing he’ll be left out of the England squad this winter in Qatar.
However, with Liverpool preparing to face Arsenal tomorrow, Southampton’s Walker-Peters has said that Trent won’t be affected and his quality will tell in the end.
“I’ve played with him a few times in the 21s and I know his quality. I mean he’s shown it in the Premier League for the last 3-4 years now. You know, people are always going to comment on your performances,” Walker-Peters said to TalkSPORT.
As footballers we’re used to it. I don’t think it’s affecting him to be honest, I know his character and I know he’s just going to get on with things and prove people wrong. As i’ve said, he’s shown everyone how good he is, so I don’t doubt him.”
Alexander-Arnold will hope to continue his form tomorrow after he got on the scoresheet in midweek against Rangers.
